This research explores the psychological causes of crime and the role of Islamic teachings in its prevention. Crime results from various psychological, social, and economic factors. Islamic teachings provide a holistic framework emphasizing individual reform, moral training, and social justice to reduce criminal tendencies. The study highlights mental stress, despair, and social influences as key contributors to crime, while Islamic principles such as patience, contentment, and piety act as deterrents. The Islamic judicial system ensures justice and equality, with fair but strict punishments discouraging crime. Spiritual practices like prayer, remembrance (dhikr), and worship contribute to psychological well-being and crime reduction. Additionally, fasting, zakat, and charity promote self-control, discipline, and social empathy, reducing criminal behavior. Findings suggest that integrating Islamic principles into social, educational, and legal systems fosters a peaceful society. Recommendations include teaching Islamic ethics, offering psychological and spiritual counseling, establishing rehabilitation centers, and promoting community engagement. The Islamic penal system not only punishes but also reforms individuals, ensuring social welfare. This study concludes that applying Islamic teachings can effectively prevent crime through spiritual growth, ethical training, and social justice, ultimately creating a just and crime-free society.
